Interview with Bruce Bond

Bruce Bond worked as a strategy director for BT from 1989 to 1996 closely working with Lord Iain Vallance.  He had previously worked for more than 20 years in the US telecommunications industry with AT&T and the parts of the Bell network when AT&T was split up in 1982.

“The Internet has thousands of fathers and I have been privileged to be one of them. I came to this country as a black American and I was accepted with open arms, and I think one of the reasons for that is I don’t fit neatly in any of the traditional categories that are here.

“I have a special gift in many ways I’m a man for all seasons, a person who really appreciates the business issues, the customer problems and also has a sophisticated understanding of the enabling technology.”

Bruce was interviewed by Richard Sharpe at the WCIT Hall in October 2018.
