AIT takes part in Big Give’s Christmas Challenge fundraising campaign

Archives of IT (AIT) has been selected to participate in the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge fundraising campaign. That means that every donation made to our campaign between 2-9 December will be doubled thanks to match funding pledges from a number of generous individuals and our Big Give Champion, the AKO Foundation.

This year we are celebrating our 10th anniversary and like all charities, we must raise funds to enable us to continue the work that our founder Roger Graham OBE, who sadly died in August this year, instigated in 2015.

Archives of IT is a registered charity born out of a passion for preserving the heritage of the UK’s tech sector while inspiring future generations – particularly girls and those from disadvantaged backgrounds – to develop their STEM skills and consider STEM-based careers.

Every donation pledged during the Big Give’s Christmas Challenge fundraising campaign, no matter the size, will make double the difference in helping us to both preserve the heritage of the tech sector and inspire future generations of STEM leaders, through our unique archive.

We’re aiming to raise £16,800 towards our mission of ‘Capturing the past, Inspire the future’ and we would be very grateful if you would consider supporting us with our Christmas Challenge, which is now just a week away!

“We need your help to ensure that the stories of the UK’s trailblazing computing pioneers – and the heritage of the tech industry that they built – are preserved for posterity. If we don’t capture their stories now, they risk being lost forever,” said John Carrington, AIT’s Chair of Trustees.

What can you do now?

     – Add a reminder to your diary for 2-9 December including this link – https://donate.biggive.org/campaign/a05WS000006oNHJYA2. The donate button will appear on this page when the campaign starts at 12pm (midday).

     – We’d doubly appreciate it if you could share the campaign with your friends, family or social networks – or anyone who may be interested in having their donation doubled!
