Eight new members have been appointed to the Council for Science and Technology (CST) including Archives of IT (AIT) interviewee Mark Enzer OBE.
Enzer is a Strategic Advisor at Mott MacDonald, Visiting Professor at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London and former head of the National Digital Twin Programme at the Centre for Digital Built Britain.
He was interviewed by AIT in February 2024 and also featured in our report: How IT is benefitting society in diverse Ways.
The CST advises the Prime Minister and the Cabinet on strategic science and technology policy issues that cut across the responsibilities of individual government departments.
Established in 1993 as the government’s top-level advisory body on science and technology, the CST is co-chaired by the Government Chief Scientific Adviser and an independent chair. The Council is formed of 19 independent members.
